Our Mission & Values
Originally named Welcome Grange #791 to differentiate it from the more than a dozen Granges in Napa County, but today commonly referred to as the Napa Grange. Napa’s “Welcome” Grange is committed to serving the Napa community through promoting grassroots advocacy and supporting rural life. Our mission is to empower farmers and strengthen rural communities by providing a platform for collective action and community building.
As a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, we uphold values of integrity, inclusivity, and sustainability. We strive to create a space where everyone in the community can come together to share knowledge, support one another, and work towards a common goal of prosperity for all.
What does the Grange Do?
The Welcome Grange provides meeting and event space for other non-profit groups and for private social and fundraising events. The grange holds live music concerts as fundraisers and as a service to the community.
Local groups that have recently or currently use the grange (many without charge):
Four-leaf Clovers 4-H, Pygmy goats 4-H, Napa 4-H sheep group, salad masters cooking class, Coombsville Wildhorse Fire Safe Council, Marines veterans group, a local church, the Napa Farmers Guild. Private parties rent the grange for family, birthday, and quinceanera celebrations.
Our Leadership
The Welcome Grange is managed by a dedicated all-volunteer board who share a passion for providing the Napa community with access to a warm, friendly and inclusive gathering place. Since January 2019 our Grange Master has been Dan Baron, a longtime Napa resident. Dan believes that providing a venue for youth and adult education and activities, for life celebrations and for live performances enriches our rural community and carries on the long tradition of the Grange movement in California.
Secretary, Caroline Wilson is a native Napan who grew up in the neighborhood. Her nostalgia for the building and its history have given her a deep connection and appreciation for the sense of community the Grange brings us.

Website
Our website was designed and created by a member of the Napa County 4 Leaf Clovers 4-H club, as a community service Emerald Star project. We want to thank the youth of Napa and support them in any way possible. Please contact for other ideas to get your organization involved in key partnerships and opportunities.
